Ski Flying World Championships 2026: Oberstdorf

  While the World Cup takes a short break, it's the turn of the Ski Flying World Championships, where the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part in the event in Oberstdorf, Germany. On Thursday, Marius qualified 9th in the qualification, jumping 212.0 m and scoring 195.0 points. On Friday, he placed first in 1st Round, jumping 226.5 m and scoring 214.6 points, enough to qualify for 2nd Round. In 2nd Round, he placed third, jumping 212.0 m and scoring 205.7 points, enough to qualify for 3rd Round. On Saturday, he placed third in the 3rd Round, jumping 221.0 m and scoring 208.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed second, jumping 231.5 m, scoring 216.8 points, for a total score of 845.9 points. This meant Marius Lindvik took the silver medal, behind Slovenia's Domen Prevc and ahead of Japan's Ren Nikaido. World Cup 2025/26: Sapporo

  The World Cup flies overseas to the Land of the Rising Sun, where the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part in the event in Sapporo, Japan. On Friday, Marius qualified 13th in the qualification, jumping 125.0 m and scoring 117.5 points, the same score as Austria's Maximilian Ortner. On Saturday, he placed 11th in the 1st Round, jumping 131.0 m and scoring 117.5 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 10th, jumping 125.0 m, scoring 123.4 points, for a total score of 240.9 points. Finally, on Sunday, Marius finished third in the qualification round, jumping 132.0 m and scoring 127.4 points. In the 1st round, he placed 11th, jumping 125.0 m and scoring 111.7 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed 11th, jumping 133.0 m, scoring 124.9 points, for a total score of 236.6 points. Compared to Zakopane, Marius Lindvik was less impressive in Sapporo. World Cup 2025/26: Zakopane

  After missing the event in Bischofshofen,  Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik returns to the World Cup to take part in the event in Zakopane, Poland. On Saturday, Marius qualified 26th in the qualification, jumping 127.0 m and scoring 111.2 points. Finally, on Sunday, he placed fifth in the 1st Round, jumping 132.5 m and scoring 124.1 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he placed fourth, jumping 140.0 m, scoring 131.5 points, for a total score of 255.6 points. It was a very positive weekend for Marius Lindvik. Despite Sunday's snowfall, he showed off his talent and managed to land some great jumps, thanks to his training in Lillehammer. He came close to a podium finish, but he still has work to do on qualifying, as he's still behind.  Until next time!

Marius Lindvik Skip Bischofshofen

  Due to a poor qualifying performance in Innsbruck, the Norwegian team has decided to send Marius Lindvik home to train in Lillehammer under the guidance of coach Andreas Vilberg. Therefore, Benjamin Østvold will take his place in Bischofshofen for the last of the four Four Hills Tournament events. The Norwegian team will call on Marius as soon as he's fully ready.  Until next time!

Four Hills Tournament 2025/26: Innsbruck

  The third of four events in the Four Hills Tournament, in which the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part in the event in Innsbruck, Austria. On Saturday, Marius placed 51st in the qualification, jumping 111.5 m and scoring 97.1 points, thus not qualifying for the 1st Round. What a disaster! Marius Lindvik had a disastrous qualifying session. He's gotten worse. The new equipment managed by the FIS is undoubtedly causing him major problems, and that's the cause of his poor results. Furthermore, his teammates and some of his colleagues are having the same problem. Marius will have to find a solution to fix it.  Until next time!

Four Hills Tournament 2025/26: Garmisch-Partenkirchen

  The second of four events in the Four Hills Tournament, in which the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part, will be held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. On Wednesday, Marius qualified 34th in the qualification, jumping 125.5 m and scoring 114.8 points. Finally, on Thursday, in the 1st Round, he challenged Poland's Maciej Kot in a k.o. He lost the duel but was reinstated thanks to the Lucky Loser. He finished 25th, jumping 126.5 m and scoring 114.4 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he finished 22nd, jumping 130.5 m, scoring 125.0 points, for a total score of 239.4 points. At Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Marius Lindvik continued to show the same flaws he's been carrying around for three years, and continued to lose in duels that were easy to win. Marius will have to work harder on both results and performance, because so far he's been a disaster.  Until next time!

Four Hills Tournament 2025/26: Oberstdorf

  The first of four events in the Four Hills Tournament, in which the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part in the event in Oberstdorf, Germany. On Sunday, Marius qualified 34th in the qualification, jumping 122.0 m and scoring 105.2 points. Finally, on Monday, in the 1st Round, he defeated Bulgarian Vladimir Zografski in a k.o., losing the match. He finished 25th, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 130.7 points. He was reinstated thanks to Lucky Loser, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he finished 23rd, jumping 124.0 m, scoring 126.2 points, and with a total score of 256.9 points. Marius Lindvik got off to a poor start at the Four Hills Tournament with three flaws: he's hasty when jumping, he's impatient, and he consistently jumps poorly. If he can correct these flaws, he'll finally be able to compete for the podium and the win.  Until next time!
