The Victory Of Marius At Innsbruck
4 January 2020. Three days after his victory in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik was already ready to compete in the stage of Innsbruck, Austria. The previous day, or 3 January, the qualification was held. Lindvik was first posted a jump of 131.5 m (138.9 points) and came in ahead of Austria's Stefan Kraft (132.5 m; 136.8 points). Karl Geiger of Germany (131.5 m; 134.9 points) and Austrian Philipp Aschenwald (131 m; 134.9 points) tied for third. In the race, however, it is quite another thing, but with the same winner. In fact, Marius also won in Innsbruck, ahead of Poland's Dawid Kubacki and Daniel-André Tande. The 20.000 fans saw a true Ski Jumping nail-biter in difficult conditions on the Bergisel-hill. In the end, the new star from Norway set the second highlight in just three days with his jumps of 133 m and 120.5 m (253.3 points). Here are the words of Marius Lindvik after his victory:
"I really found my shape here during the 4-Hills-Tournament and I hope I can continue this way in Bischofshofen. It's fun to look at the overall ranking now, but it's a large gap between me and Dawid Kubacki. I try not to think that much about the overall title, but the chance is there now. I've never jumped in Bischofshofen before, that will be fun."
A star named Marius Lindvik was born and will be the future of ski jumping.
Until next time!
