Ski Flying World Championships 2022: Vikersund

 


The Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik takes part in the Ski Flying World Championships for the first time, which will stop in Vikersund, Norway. On Thursday, Marius qualified 5th in the qualification, jumping 228.0 m and scoring 204.6 points. On Friday, in the 1st Round he ranked 1st, jumping 232.5 m and scoring 227.4 points. In the 2nd Round he ranked 1st, jumping 226.5 m, with a score of 230.1 points and a total score of 457.5 points. On Saturday, in the 3rd Round Marius ranked 1st, jumping 230.0 m and scoring 200.4 points. In the Final Round he finished 1st, jumping 224.5 m, with a score of 196.3 points and a total score of 854.2 points. This means that Marius Lindvik won the Ski Flying World Championship, won the gold medal and became world champion. Finally, on Sunday, in Team Competiton, Team Norway lined up Johann André Forfang, Marius Lindvik, Daniel-André Tande and Halvor Egner Granerud. Marius, who jumped fourth in the Norwegian team's lineup, jumped 221.5m in the 1st Round and 228.0m in the Final Round. Team Norway finished 3rd, with a total score of 1559.6 points, behind Slovenia and Germany. For Marius Lindvik it was a weekend to frame, taking home two medals, gold in the individual competition and bronze in the team competition. His tiger roar is so powerful that he has heard not only Vikersund, but all of Norway as well.
