World Cup 2022/23: Zakopane
After an almost disappointing Four Hills Tournament, the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to take part in the World Cup event in Zakopane, Poland. On Friday, in the qualification Marius qualified 12th, jumping 131.5 m and with a score of 130.0 points. On Saturday, Norway lined up Halvor Egner Granerud, Marius Lindvik, Johann André Forfang and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal in Team Competition. Marius, who jumped first in the Norwegian team's line up, jumped 128.5 m in the 1st Round and 122.5 m in the Final Round. Team Norway finished 5th, with a total score of 1113.4 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round Marius finished 3rd, jumping 128.0 m and with a score of 133.7 points, the same score as his teammate Halvor Egner Granerud, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 8th, jumping 121.5 m, with a score of 126.7 points and a total score of 260.4 points. Both the wind and the gate change that took place on Sunday disadvantaged Marius Lindvik, who was fighting for the podium, but gave his all throughout the weekend. By now the championship is completely lost and Marius will just have to enjoy himself for the rest of the season, hoping to get back on the podium.
Until next time!
