World Cup 2022/23: Lake Placid

 


After the disastrous weekend in Willingen, the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to take part in the event in Lake Placid, USA. On Saturday, in the qualification Marius qualified 44th, jumping 111.5 m and with a score of 109.2 points. In the 1st Round he finished 19th, jumping 117.0 m and scoring 113.6 points, the same score as Austrian Stefan Kraft, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 14th, jumping 123.5 m, with a score of 122.1 points and a total score of 235.7 points. In the Super Team Competition, Norway fielded Halvor Egner Granerud and Marius Lindvik. Marius, who jumped first in the Norwegian team's line up, jumped 122.0 m in the 1st Round, 118.0 m in the 2nd Round and 111.0 m in the Final Round. Norway finished 6th, with a total score of 748.2 points. Finally, on Sunday, Marius qualified 15th in the qualification, jumping 119.5 m and with a score of 122.9 points, the same score as the Austrian Jan Hörl, the Slovenian Domen Prevc and the Canadian Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes. In the 1st Round he finished 20th, jumping 112.0 m and scoring 113.8 points, which was enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 11th, jumping 124.0 m, with a score of 134.9 points and a total score of 248.7 points. The qualification, which was scheduled for Friday, had been postponed to Saturday due to the wind. Marius Lindvik experienced a subdued weekend and his jumps were below expectations. Since he will miss the Rasnov event, he will train to be ready for Planica in World Ski Championships.
