World Cup 2022/23: Willingen

The Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik has to redeem himself from the bittersweet results in Kulm by taking part in the event in Willingen, Germany. On Friday, Norway fielded Halvor Egner Granerud, Marius Lindvik, Anna Odine Strøm and Silje Opseth in Team Mixed. Marius, who jumped second in the line up of the Norwegian team, jumped 141.5 m in the 1st Round, while the Final Round was canceled due to wind. Norway finished 1st, with a total score of 450.6 points, ahead of Austria and Germany. On Saturday, in the qualification Marius qualified 42nd, jumping 115.0 m and with a score of 106.4 points. In the 1st Round he finished 33rd, jumping 124.0 m and scoring 101.5 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Marius qualified 26th, jumping 120.0 m and with a score of 88.8 points.  In the 1st Round he finished 32nd, jumping 110.5 m and scoring 72.8 points, not enough to qualify for the Final Round. The qualification that was scheduled for Friday had been postponed to Saturday due to wind. A weekend to forget for Marius Lindvik, who failed to qualify for the Final Round twice, but consoled himself by taking home the podium in Team Mixed. At this point Marius has to ask himself a question: what is happening to him and why is he no longer roaring like a tiger? He will have to find an answer by searching the depths of his soul about him.

Until next time!
