World Cup 2025/26: Lahti

After the event in Kulm, the World Cup stage moves to Scandinavia, where the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part in the event in Lahti, Finland. On Friday, in the single-round individual competition, Marius placed 11th, jumping 119.0 m and scoring 117.4 points. On Saturday, Marius finished 10th in the qualification round, jumping 121.0 m and scoring 138.0 points. In the 1st Round, he finished 8th, jumping 124.5 m and scoring 137.3 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round, he finished 5th, jumping 125.5 m, scoring 144.1 points, for a total score of 281.4 points. Finally, on Sunday, Norway fielded Marius Lindvik and Isak Andreas Langmo in the Super Team. Marius, who jumped second in the Norwegian team lineup, jumped 123.0 m in the first round, 122.0 m in the second round, and 116.0 m in the final round. Norway finished sixth with a total score of 798.8 points. A bitter weekend for Marius Lindvik. Not because of the result itself, but because of what he did in the Super Team on Sunday. In the first two rounds, Norway was in third place, and so far so good. But in the Final Round, Marius was in such a hurry to get the jump on the podium that he only realized his mistake at the end—you could just look at the expressions on both his teammate Langmo and the team coach's faces—that he'd given Finland a podium finish and his team finished sixth. Things were going so well, but why does he have to ruin everything in the Final Round? Marius has had that flaw for years and can't overcome it. That's his weakness, and Marius must change his approach.

Until next time!
