Marius Will Not Start For Planica
The Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik has chosen to stand over the World Ski Flying Championships in Planica. The Rælingen jumper has traveled home to Norway. Here are his words:
"It has been a tough start to the season for me both physically and mentally. It has been a great strain mentally and the confidence in jumping has not been present." says Marius Lindvik.
He finished third in the last World Cup race before the World Ski Flying Championships, but has had a varying start to the season.
"I have worked hard to regain my confidence in jumping and I feel I am on the right track. I had to be honest with myself and at the moment I feel that jumping and self-confidence are not good enough to jump ski flying." Lindvik says.
"This is about being mentally prepared to jump ski flying which is extremely demanding. That's why I will not start in Planica this weekend, last season's jumping week comet continues."
Lindvik will not be available to the media for further comments today. Dear Marius, we respect your decision and look forward to seeing you come back soon to jump among the best.
Until next time!
