Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022
The Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to compete in his first Olympics, namely that of Beijing 2022, with the aim of taking home an Olympic medal. On 5th February in the normal hill qualification, Marius qualified 1st, jumping 100.5 m and scoring 116.7 points. On 6th February in 1st Round Marius finished 17th, jumping 96.5 m and scoring 128.4 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 7th, jumping 102.5 m, with a score of 132.3 points and a total score of 260.7 points. On 7th February in Team Mixed, Team Norway lined up Robert Johansson, Marius Lindvik, Anna Odine Strøm and Silje Opseth. Marius, who had jumped fourth in the team line-up, jumped 102.5 m in the 1st Round and 100.5 m in the Final Round. Team Norway finished 8th, with a total score of 707.9 points and with two DSQs occurred in the Final Round, due to the wrong decisions of the judges made during the competition and that there was some controversy. On 11st February in the large hill qualification, Marius qualified 1st, jumping 135.0 m and scoring 136.4 points. On 12nd February in the 1st Round Marius finished 2nd, jumping 140.5 m and scoring 144.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 1st, jumping 140.0 m, with a score of 151.3 points and a total score of 296.1 points. This means that Marius Lindvik has won the gold medal and is the Olympic champion. Norway hadn't won the gold medal in ski jumping for 53 years and Marius succeeded on the first try. Finally, on 14th February in the Team Competition, Team Norway lined up Marius Lindvik, Daniel-André Tande, Halvor Egner Granerud and Robert Johansson. Marius, who had jumped fourth in the team line-up, jumped 121.0 m in the 1st Round and 126.5 m in the Final Round. Team Norway finished 4th, with a total score of 922.1 points. For Marius Lindvik it was an Olympics full of emotions and he managed to win the gold medal at his first Olympics and now he has become the Olympic tiger.
