World Cup 2021/22: Willingen
After spending a week in quarantine, the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to take part in the World Cup event in Willingen, Germany. On Friday, in Team Mixed, Team Norway lined up Halvor Egner Granerud, Marius Lindvik, Thea Minyan Bjørseth and Silje Opseth. Marius, who jumped fourth on the Norwegian team's grid, jumped 138.0m in the 1st Round and 147.5m in the Final Round. Team Norway finished 2nd, behind Slovenia and ahead of Austria, with the total score of 799.7 points. In the qualification, called the prologue, Marius qualified 6th, jumping 134.5m and scoring 125.6 points. On Saturday, Marius finished 3rd in the 1st Round, jumping 137.0m and scoring 107.0 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. The Final Round was canceled due to strong winds and the result of the 1st Round becomes official. Then podium for Marius, behind the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi and his teammate Halvor Egner Granerud. Finally, on Sunday, the qualification was canceled due to the wind. In the 1st Round, Marius finished 6th, jumping 140.0m and scoring 116.6 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he finished 1st, jumping 144.5m, with a score of 127.2 points and a total score of 243.8 points. In short, Marius won ahead of the German Karl Geiger and the Slovenian Cene Prevc. Marius Lindvik takes home three podiums, one in teams and two in individual ones, and is 4th in standings. The tiger is back more determined than before.
