World Cup 2023/24: Lahti

 


The World Cup stops in Scandinavia, where the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to take part in the event in Lahti, Finland. On Friday, Marius qualified 18th in qualifying, jumping 120.0 m and scoring 111.2 points. In the 1st Round he placed 1st, jumping 128.5 m and scoring 132.5 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 4th, jumping 121.5 m, with a score of 119.0 points and with a total score of 251.5 points. On Saturday, Norway fielded Marius Lindvik, Halvor Egner Granerud, Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Johann André Forfang in the Team Competition. Marius, who jumped fourth in the Norwegian team line up, jumped 130.5 m in the 1st Round and 122.0 m in the Final Round. Norway placed 1st with a total score of 935.2 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Marius qualified 5th, jumping 122.0 m and scoring 122.6 points. In the 1st Round he placed 19th, jumping 117.0 m and scoring 109.9 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 12th, jumping 123.0 m, with a score of 120.5 points and with a total score of 230.4 points. Although the weekend was characterized by wind, Marius Lindvik still managed to tame the wind halfway, taking home the podium in the Team Competition in which he was decisive, together with his teammates Granerud, Sundal and Forfang, in bring Norway to the top step of the podium which had been missing for three years.
