World Cup 2023/24: Planica

 


Last seasonal event of the World Cup, in which the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to take part in the event in Planica, Slovenia. On Thursday, Marius qualified 28th in qualifying, jumping 194.5 m and scoring 171.7 points. On Friday, in the 1st Round he placed 5th, jumping 221.0 m and scoring 205.0 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he achieved 217.5 m, with a score of 218.9 points and with a total score of 423.9 points. On Saturday, Norway fielded Marius Lindvik, Johann André Forfang, Robert Johansson and Benjamin Østvold in the Team Competition. Marius, who jumped third in the Norwegian team line up, jumped 214.0 m in the 1st Round, while the Final Round was canceled due to wind. Norway placed 3rd with a total score of 770.6 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round he placed 7th, jumping 229.0 m and with a score of 211.8 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he placed 9th, jumping 221.0 m, with a score of 202.0 points and with a total score of 413.8 points. Marius Lindvik finished the season in 8th position with a total score of 854 points. For Marius it was a season of ups and downs with results and jumps below his expectations. However, he reached the podium twice in the individual competition, one podium in the Super Team and two podiums in the Team Competition. Now Marius will be able to enjoy a holiday before returning to training.
