World Cup 2024/25: Ruka
After a less than stellar start in Lillehammer, the Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is ready to redeem himself by taking part in the event in Ruka, Finland. On Saturday, Marius qualified 3rd in the qualification, jumping 146.5 m and scoring 143.6 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 14th, jumping 137.0 m and scoring 139.0 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 10th, jumping 144.5 m, scoring 155.5 points and scoring 294.5 points in total. Finally, on Sunday, in the qualification Marius qualified 10th, jumping 140.0 m and scoring 144.0 points. In the 1st Round he ranked 9th, jumping 137.5 m and scoring 124.4 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. The Final Round was cancelled due to wind and the result of the 1st Round is official. The qualification which was scheduled for Friday, was moved to Saturday due to the wind. Marius Lindvik had a much better weekend than Lillehammer, but the wind hindered him on two occasions: Saturday's training and Sunday's 1st Round landing. Now it's become a battle between him and the wind to try to dominate the wind and get back on top of the world.
Until next time!
