World Cup 2024/25: Zakopane

After a week of rest, ski jumping returns with the World Cup, where Norwegian ski jumper Marius Lindvik is set to take part in the event in Zakopane, Poland. On Friday, Marius qualified 32nd in the qualification, jumping 125.5 points and scoring 119.1 points. Finally, on Sunday, in the 1st Round he ranked 19th, jumping 131.5 m and scoring 140.1 points, enough to qualify for the Final Round. In the Final Round he ranked 18th, jumping 130.0 m, scoring 136.1 points and with a total score of 276.2 points. He did not take part in Saturday's Team Competition, as the Norwegian team decided to field Benjamin Østvold due to his results in previous events. Houston, we have a problem. Marius Lindvik can no longer get back into the top 10 and the results obtained over the weekend in Zakopane are confirmation of the continuity of the poor results he is obtaining lately, including the Norwegian championship that took place last week. Marius must make a decision: either he puts the season aside to focus on next season in view of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina or he must change his mentality during the season to get back on the podium, because what he is doing up to now is only bringing very disappointing results.

Until next time!
